Audi’s new ‘Lighthouse’ development is quickly taking shape at Victoria Park in Sydney. This 16,000 square metre facility will be home to the new Audi Centre Sydney showroom and Aftersales centre, as well as the headquarters of Audi Australia Pty Ltd.
Due for completion at the end of July 2009, the facility will be fully-operational by early August, offering best-practice customer service in both sales and aftersales support.
Taking just 12 months to build, the Audi Lighthouse is based on the brand’s global architectural concept, known as an Audi Terminal. The architectural style is ideal for high-density locations and the building’s design signifies movement and dynamism thanks to curved internal surfaces and frameless glass windows. It’s unique honeycomb façade makes this new building appear almost translucent. It promises to make a high impact visual statement for anyone travelling between the airport and the Sydney CBD.
It will be the largest of its kind in the world at opening, and will be a beacon for Audi, cementing the company’s reputation as Australia’s fastest-growing premium brand. The investment is also a clear demonstration of Audi’s long term commitment to the Australian market.
The official opening event for the Audi Lighthouse is planned for Thursday 20 August 2009.
